He’s the mad hatter of job titles, wearing them all equally proud. Meet our tech, marketing, and maintenance man, who's a self-proclaimed coffee snob with a heart of gold, Aaron Holverson.
How did you get into this business? Why coffee?
I love fixing and troubleshooting. Matt literally lives across the street from me, and I could smell it when he started roasting. We were good friends before Brewhaha, so I would wander over and offer assistance and support for Matt's coffee roasting process. This led to helping build out our first roastery and official coffee roaster, which I built and now maintain, along with all of the other processing equipment at Brewhaha. With my Information Technology background, I'm also responsible for anything to do with technology like the website, online sales, and social media. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, but in the end, I just love a good cup of coffee.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Hillsboro, WI.
What is your favorite Brewhaha flavor?
Crypto Coffee — creamy, caramelly, with a hint of chocolate!
How do you like your coffee?
Pourover! But, to be honest, in the mornings I just want a cup of coffee STAT! So, I grind the night before and set a timer on my drip coffee maker that's supposed to simulate a pourover. Also, just a little bit of sugar to satisfy my sweet tooth.
What is your favorite place to drink coffee?
Camping with a backpack and tent. Right now, though, it's mornings on my new backyard screened-in porch with my wife.
What are some things you enjoy doing outside of coffee roasting?
I love traveling, the outdoors, running, hiking, and rock climbing.
What is your favorite part of being a small business owner?
The creativity and making something people love.
