WHEN YOU SEE A NEED YOU FILL IT German missionaries introduced coffee to the Rwanda region in 1904. The Rwanda coffee farms average less than one hectare in size (about 165 coffee trees per coffee farmer)! Almost all Rwanda coffee is certified organic and the African culture attaches values to their efforts like Hope (“Ikizere”), Vision (“Ikerokoza”),Proud ("Ishema"). These beans are from a small coop of 990 farmers in the Lake Kivu, Rutsiro District. We roasted the beans to a medium-dark roast. This brings out the silky, creamy body along with tones of citrus and dark chocolate. Proceeds from the sale of this coffee during the month of August 2020 will be donated to the 4PeteSake organization in lue of "A Day in the Park" keeping everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
